Michael Rotsa – Principal & Director

Michael Rotsa is the Principal and Director of Devise Theatre Arts (DTA), which he founded in 2022 with a simple belief: that drama and theatre workshops can help shape the people we become.

With a BA (Hons) degree in Drama and Theatre Studies, specialising in Physical Theatre and Improvisation, Michael brings a wealth of professional performance experience to DTA. Having worked for many years in his home city of London, his professional credits include television,

film and international commercials.

Now based in Winchester, where he is raising his two young boys, Michael combines his professional experience with his passion for working with young people. His workshops blend confidence-building, presentation skills, improvisation, physical theatre, character development and role-play, creating a fun and supportive environment where every young person is encouraged to express themselves.

Michael is a firm believer that experiences like drama workshops can have an impact far beyond the stage. For him, theatre helped shape who he is today, and he created DTA to give young people that same opportunity — a place where they can build confidence, discover their creativity, develop their individuality and, most importantly, be themselves.
